The Phoenix 22 is a fun gun. I bought the one with the long barrel and it hits dead on as fast as I can pull the trigger. I contacted Phoenix Arms to purchase the short barrel for easier pocket carrying. What I received seems unfinished. The new short barrel does not engage and after visually matching it to the original barrel, it is not the same. I tried to contact Phoenix to see if I may have received an unfinished item or one that came from a bad batch . I believe the spring has worn due to having a few instances with the slide not closing tight. I ordered new springs which were delivered right away. I have not had a chance to install the new spring. I’m looking forward to another fun day at the range once it is installed. I would buy another Phoenix 22 but I would buy it with both barrels in the box. With both barrels and a spare magazine, the set should still be less than $200.
