Reason #1 that you need a carry permit: Life is the most valuable thing on the planet.

Think about your your life for a second. How much would you pay to keep it?  What about your neighbor’s life? Your spouse’s life? Your child’s life?

I’m a father. I would pay any amount of money for my son’s life. Any amount. I know you would, too.

Every human life is so unique, so special, so sacred, that it is easily the most valuable thing on the planet. Human life is more valuable than goal and much more precious than silver.

You and I can agree on this.

Some people can’t.

Reason #2 that you need a carry permit: Evil exists, and it will never go away.

If humans could just stop killing each other, there wouldn’t be a need for guns, and I’d be able to spend my days farming my own crops rather than writing on this blog.

But unfortunately, world peace won’t be here any time soon. Drugs, money, power, greed, hate, and revenge are just a few of the different types of evil that exists in the world. These evils often become the most powerful force in a person’s life, and in the most extreme cases, they become more valuable to these people than human life.

If a person is willing to value a single other thing more than the value they place a value on human life, the person then becomes extremely dangerous.

Reason #3 that you need a carry permit: We need to protect the lives of those around us.

I wish I could have been there for this guy.

If I ever found myself in this situation, this would be my prayer:

Lord, make me fast and accurate, let my aim be true. Let my aim be true and my hand faster than those who would seek to destroy me. Grant me victory over my foes and those that wish to do harm to me and mine. Let not my last thought be, “if I only had a gun;” and Lord, if today is truly the day that you call me home, let me die in a pile of my empty
